Born and raised in Southern California, Emily Macer is an arts professional who strongly believes that the arts are integral to cultivating a rich educational experience for youth. Her aim is to help individuals engage with arts and culture in order to empower thriving communities, and she’s so excited to be a part of the amazing work the Heart Global team is doing. In tandem with arts leadership, Emily’s creative background is in dance/musical theatre performance where she has worked both on stage and in production. Emily completed her graduate and undergraduate education at the University of Southern California and holds the degrees of Master of Science in Arts Leadership and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Urban Policy & Planning. She finds home in sunny Los Angeles where she enjoys being on the water and near the people she loves.
